Now in its 14th edition, it has attracted hundreds of participants and has for years represented the leading winter sporting event—both amateur and competitive—in the Biois Valley.

This is the traditional Carnival of Canale d’Agordo—the only parade led by a female figure, the Zinghenesta, the Carnival queen and the most beautiful girl in the village. It takes place on the last Sunday of Carnival, with a parade of traditional masks starting in Falcade and passing through the entire Biois Valley to reach Canale d’Agordo and the Casa delle Regole. On this festive day, with music and dancing, the symbolic "trial of Carnival" takes place, where Carnival is condemned to atone for all the misfortunes of the past year.

Every year on June 24, the traditional Feast of Saint John the Baptist is celebrated. A large tent is set up in Piazza Papa Luciani, and for several days people celebrate with local dishes, fried fish, and desserts.
There’s always entertainment for adults and children, rides, a charity market for the local nursery school, and on the feast day a large market along the village streets.

For several years now, the Pro Loco Association has been organizing hobby, handicraft, antiques and local products market exhibitions during the summer period (July and August). They represent a very popular form of entertainment for tourists and locals alike.
Alongside handmade and crafted creations by artists and hobbyists, in recent years local farm products have also appeared, from potatoes to flour, from honey to medicinal herbs, body care products, herbal teas and infusions, as well as wooden chairs, clocks, paintings and typical clothing accessories such as traditional scarpét and knitted items, all created by artisans and workers who passionately dedicate themselves to this activity.

At the end of the Gares Valley, every summer in August the village festival is celebrated, with sandwiches, drinks and cheerful company.
In early August, the Canale Alpine Hunting Reserve has been organizing for several years a two-day festival near the new Hunters’ Lodge in Soia-Laonei (Municipality of Canale d’Agordo). Under the large covered tent, visitors can enjoy traditional dishes and renowned game meat.
Nearby, visitors can try rifle shooting, while children can play freely on the inflatable games provided by volunteers.
Finally, there’s music, dancing, fun, and entertainment with folk groups and local DJs.
Fregona also celebrates its traditional village festival every year. Among the picturesque views of this sunny and unspoiled hamlet, music, dancing and fun.

The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Pro Loco offices of the Valley, includes an itinerary of nativity scenes along the streets of the village.
A map with the locations will be created and, at the end of the Christmas holidays, an evening will be held with the award ceremony for all participants.
