Ski area and lifts
During the winter season, the Biois Valley offers a direct connection to the Falcade - San Pellegrino Ski Area, via the lifts starting from Molino, situated in Falcade.
Just 20 km from Canale d'Agordo you can also reach the Civetta Ski Area, part of the Great War Ski Tour, while connections to the Marmolada and Arabba are about forty minutes by car.

Winter walks and hikes
Even in winter, the Biois Valley allows hiking lovers to enjoy walks and hikes in the woods, or at higher altitudes, along easier or more challenging routes that meet all needs.
Some mountain huts and pastures are only open in summer, while others are also open in winter.
When snow conditions allow, some routes can also be traveled with snowshoes and poles, while on icy ground crampons are recommended. Snowshoes can be rented at Capanna Cima Comelle or at sports shops in Falcade.

Cross-country skiing
In the Biois Valley there are two important centers for cross-country skiing: one is located in Canale d’Agordo, at the end of the majestic Garés Valley. Another on the Falcade Plain.
The first, “Franco Manfroi” center, has a trail of 7.5 km with various intermediate loops of different difficulty levels.

Ice skating
In Canale d'Agordo, via Lotta, in the Playground area, an outdoor ice rink is usually set up during the Christmas holiday season, with skate rental available.

In Falcade, near the Bar al Parco, there is another outdoor ice rink with skate rental available.
